Skin Needling

Skin needling Skin Needling also known as Micro Needling, or Microneedle Therapy or Dermarolling. The concept behind this microneedle therapy was to provoke your own skin cell regeneration and collagen production. Think of this process as a very intense skin needling treatment done by a skin care professional.

Some people refer to Micro Needling as Skin Needling, and Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), and it involves using a hand-held skin roller which has multiple, fine pointed needles on the surface of your skin. This skin needling roller has needles from 1mm - 3mm in length, and the micro punctures only penetrate the topmost layer of your skin. This action activates the skin's natural wound healing process by creating small punctures in the skin that help to create collagen and elastin.

The small puncture wound stimulates collagen in the epidermis layer and breaks some of the blood vessels directly under the surface of the skin. Since the blood will clot, this creates the development and production of collagen and elastin. It's these critical elements which with your skin and pores to show revitalized.

This may sound a little drastic, but the microneedle therapy technique occurs on a microscopic degree and the outward trauma effect is negligible For those with sensitive skin, you may want to use a numbing product on your skin before your microneedle therapy to minimize any uneasiness.

Micro Neeling can be performed on skin of all types and colors, even sensitive skin. You will obtain thicker, tighter and smoother skin, increased blood flow to areas of poor healing, minimized appearance of scars (including acne and surgical scars) as well as fine lines and wrinkles, and increased penetration of lotions, serums and moisturizers. Additional outcomes can have minimized stretch marks and hair loss. Skin needling can be repeated every 6-8 weeks as long as the epidermis is healed; best of all, collagen formation can continue for up to 12 months after one treatment.

What micro needling can do for you and what needle length do you need?

Enhance the penetration of skin care or hair growth products: Maximum 0.3 mm needle length on the face and 0.5 mm on skin on the rest of the body. Our skin ? a protective organ ? is almost unpermeable. Dermalloring temporarily enables the absorption of skin care products into the skin.

Fine wrinkles: 1 to 1.5 mm needle length. This is a relatively minor procedure and can be done safely at home, provided you disinfect properly. Dermarolling is a safe alternative for people with skin too thin to have laser treatment.

Individual deep wrinkles: Glabella wrinkles (between the eyebrows) and deep forehead wrinkles: Use our single needle instrument.

Loose skin: 1.5 mm. You can improve loose skin anywhere on the body including the neck, the décolleté, the back of the hands, arms, abdomen, thighs etc. In the early stages of skin laxity, it can postpone or even replace a facelift. Sensitive areas with thin skin such as the neck need only 0.5 mm.

Sun damaged (age spots, brown spots) or aging skin: 1.0 to 1,5 mm.

Uneven pigmentation or acne spots: 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm (not to be used on moles!).

Scars: All scar treatment requires a dermaroller with 1.5 mm needles and benefit greatly from our single needle instrument to locally crush the scar tissue deeper and with a greater prick density.
